As a technology educator, when I came to the Netherlands, I noticed that technical education isn't a given here. It isn't where most kids are pointed, even though technology is where the world is going.

I also noticed why so many people steer away from it. Not because they can't do it, but because somewhere along the way they decided it was too hard, or they were afraid of getting it wrong.

Kids don't carry that fear yet. They're curious. They try things. When something doesn't work, they shrug and try again. That is the perfect moment to hand them a robot and let them figure it out.

That's why I founded Light Robotics. I want kids to meet technology while they're still fearless: to build something real with their own hands, watch it move across the table, and think "I made that." Because a child who feels capable with technology at eight becomes a young adult who isn't afraid to choose it.

So I built the curriculum around how kids actually learn. Every step is designed to keep frustration low and excitement high, while still stretching them. Approachable enough to stay in the game, challenging enough to feel proud when it clicks. The goal is a child who is engaged, building, and genuinely learning, all at once.

Honestly, this is the program I wish had existed when my own kids were small. Now I get to build it for everyone else's.

That confidence is the real goal. The robots and the code are just how we get there.
